Mutual Aid Network.

DUC is helping to build a mutual aid network that is open to all DUC members. We hope our mutual aid efforts will be a way to support our members and strengthen the bond between members across all job classifications.

Unlike charity where there is a “giver” and a “receiver,” mutual aid is about people helping one another, sharing skills and material goods when needed to build relationships and community. A non-exhaustive list of aid that could be provided includes:

• Financial assistance

• Providing food, or food preparation assistance

• Transportation needs

• Help navigating PSLF or other student loan assistance programs

• Help navigating OSPD bureaucracy

• Social or emotional support
